Big Ed, a hardworking man, was in construction for most of his life. He had a hand in building many custom homes on the local barrier islands you can still see today. His most recent job was at FGCU where he worked as a Construction Coordinator. Everyone knew how much he loved his job and being outside with all sorts of wildlife, from gators to rattlesnakes. What some may not know is that he worked on the construction of FGCU’s campus since its ground breaking with the company Brown and Root.
Ed was a tender hearted man with a tough exterior who loved to hunt, fish, and cruise on the boat every chance he got. He was loved above all else by his wonderful wife Pamela who cared for him through sickness and in health. His children could not have asked for a more caring and loving father. He was strong, adored, and will be greatly missed.
Ed is survived by his beloved spouse of 38 years, Pamela; 3 loving children Worth, Meghan, and Paige; 3 cherished grandchildren Jack, Evan, and soon to arrive Callie; 2 dear siblings Lolly and Charles, 2 aunts Marion, Annette and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Laura and Duane Anderson.
A Catholic Service will be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Bokeelia, FL on Saturday, August 6th at 10am. A reception will follow in the church hall. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
