She is survived by her five children Lillian, Carlos, Wanda, Carol, and Luz Rivera. Eight Grandchildren and Eight great Grandchildren. She worked as a Secretary but was for the most part a Homemaker. She was Loved by everyone who knew her. She Loved her family. She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt and grandmother and always had an open and loving heart for anyone who needed her advice or just provided an open ear for those who needed comfort. As a mother she would sacrifice everything for her children. Always smiling she had so much joy in her life. No matter the circumstances, or thing happening around her, she never complained. She saw the very best in situations, circumstances and people. She loved everyone. She was patient, forgiving, selfless, humble, simple, peaceful. She was a devoted Christian woman and believed whole heartedly in the Virgin Mary
She loved music and really loved to dance. Any and every time there was music in the air you would find her with maracas, Guiro or even a readily available pot and wooden spoon. You can be sure that you would see her on the dance floor also. She was always surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.
She was a strong, talented woman. There was not a challenge she would not tackle. From making clothes to making cakes. From re-upholstering furniture to making curtains and valances. She repainted our home, mowed the lawn in her tractor. And she also made time so that her kids got to wherever they needed to be no matter what.
And now she is doing the same in heaven. Heaven is a far and a long ride until we have her again. If we only had a little more time.
There is NEVER a little more time. Cherish and love your close and loved ones.
So rest in peace mom. And thank for all that you have done. We pray that God has given you the crown you've truly won.
