Donna Mayrea Hepler Lundy, born on November 3, 1948, passed into the arms of Jesus on April 11, 2025, at the age of 76. Donna graduated from Covington High School in Covington, VA in 1967, and later from National Business College in Roanoke, VA, where she met the love of her life and husband of 54 years, Randy. Donna dedicated over 20 years as an administrative assistant at First Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA, where she and Randy were members. After Randy’s retirement, they relocated to Cape Coral, FL, joining McGregor Baptist Church in Ft. Myers and becoming part of the Perkins Life Group.
Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life exemplified kindness, selflessness, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She possessed a remarkable creative spirit and a deep passion for art that she expressed through paintings, stage and set design, storytelling, fellowship events and digital arts. She leaves behind many beautiful creations that reflect not only her immense talent but also her deep love for Christ and those around her. She touched many lives by comforting and encouraging others, particularly those who were broken or alone, as well as helping the less fortunate and those with other needs.
Donna is survived by her loving husband Randy; children Jeff (Helen) Lundy and Kimberly (Jeff) Sabo; grandchildren Devyn, Celeste, JJ, Ysabel, Tommy, Taylor (Kelly), Trenton, Cade, and Colton; great granddaughter Annastasia; sister Susan Helm; nephews Jason and Eric; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on April 17th at McGregor Baptist Church in Room 100. A second service will be held at First Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA, on May 8th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the McGregor Baptist Church Food Pantry or the Rescue Mission of Roanoke VA. All are welcome to join in honoring this precious and remarkable woman.
