Donata A. Sholtis, 86, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 13th at her home in Winter Garden, FL. Born June 25, 1937, in Wilkes Barre, PA to John and Loretta (nee Materna) Wroblewski. Shortly after Donata graduated from high school she married John Sholtis Sr and became an adoring wife and mother. The couple moved to Endicott, New York where they raised their two sons John Jr and David. When the boys were in high school, Donata decided to seek employment and was hired by IBM. Donata and John retired to North Fort Myers, FL. In 2022, Donata looked to downsize and moved to Winter Garden, FL where she took up residence at the Overture at Hamlin, a 55 and over community. She quickly made many friends and had the time of her life. But, anyone who knew her would say her three grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Predeceased by her husband, Donata is lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters-in-law, John Jr and Sandra of Winter Garden, FL and David and Catherine of Edgewater MD and her three grandchildren Dawson, Meaghan and Alexandra.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church, Clermont, FL on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11 AM. Interment will be on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11 AM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd, S. Cape Coral, FL.
