Dolores B. Devaney

Dolores B. Devaney, 84, of Cape Coral, Florida arose joyfully into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. She was a devoted loving mother to her six children; Corinne, Cheryl, Jack, Lori, Meg and Tracey. Dolores was born on October 17, 1927, the daughter of James and Margaret Griggs in Jersey City, New Jersey she had two sisters Muriel and Collista and a brother, Jimmy, deceased in 2012. Her married life was spent in New Providence, New Jersey and Hunterdon County. Dolores and her husband, John operated a mechanical contracting business for 25 years, then she became a realtor for the next 35 years. Dolores was a sales representative, GRI, for Weichert Realtors, Clinton, NJ and Century 21 Birchwood in Cape Coral.

She is survived by her 6 children, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; John Devaney’s family, Joseph and Marilyn Devaney, Pat and Ray Cox, Tom Devaney, Madeline and Mike Welch, Jimmy Devaney and numerous nieces and nephews. Dolores will be dearly missed by her beloved family.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Wednesday, September 5th at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Cape Coral with visitation from 9 to 10:30am at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. Burial will be at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
