Darlene Jean Metcalf

Darlene Jean Metcalf, 66, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 15 2024, at her home in St. James City, FL. Darlene was born in Woburn, MA. She attended Salem State College in Salem, MA before beginning her career in customer service. She held senior management and director positions in the defense, medical and clothing industry, leading to Vice President of Sales and Service for a wine distribution company in Massachusetts.

Darlene had a passion for cooking and was an excellent chef. She loved animals, the beach and fishing.

Darlene is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Richard; son Richard of FL; brother Richard Barry; sisters Lynne Cox, and Maureen Sullivan; sister in laws Janice Barry, Cathy Metcalf; brother in laws Henry Cox, Paul Metcalf, Michael Metcalf and mother in law Frances Metcalf.

Preceded in death by her mother Edith Barry; father Richard Barry; aunts Marie Barber, Ann Vitale, and Mary McCarthy and brother in law John Sullivan.

A private service will scheduled at a later date.
