It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Lee Peters, 46, of Pine Island, Florida, who left us far too soon. A vibrant soul with salt in his veins and sunshine in his heart, Chris lived life on his own terms - bold, adventurous, and always ready with a story.

Chris found his paradise on Pine Island, where the sea was his second home. Whether he was casting a line, catching a wave, or cruising through mangroves on his boat, he was happiest surrounded by water and the people he loved. An avid fisherman, surfer, and boater, Chris had a knack for turning ordinary days into adventures and strangers into friends.

He was the kind of man who never had a dull moment - and didn’t let anyone around him have one either. Always up for a good time and a better conversation, Chris had a gift for storytelling and a laugh that could carry across the water. His energy was contagious, his spirit unforgettable.

Chris leaves behind his beloved Marley and a community of family, friends, and fellow adventurers who will miss his voice, his stories, and his fearless love for life and animals. While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that he lived fully - with passion, purpose, and plenty of time on the water.

Fair winds, following seas, and a stiff drink, Chris - we’ll see you out there.
