He and his wife, Patricia, were high school sweethearts and were married in West Babylon, New York, in 1970. Their family was blessed with two boys: Frank and Charles Jr., both of Cape Coral, Florida.
While living In New York, Charlie was employed as a union carpenter and also as a car detailer. In his spare time, Charlie loved playing baseball and other outdoor activities. When he was 31, his love of outdoors and warm weather prompted him to move the family to Cape Coral, Florida, where his gregarious nature and gift of storytelling soon earned him many friends in the area. He was a loving father and grandfather, known for taking his boys to the baseball field; and later devoting more time to his grandchildren as the family grew.
Charlie opened a car detail business with his wife in Cape Coral almost 10 years ago. He was so proud to have it be a family business, with his sons working at his side. Charlie was very active in his church and was well-known for his amazing hospitality and servant’s heart. He loved to entertain people in his home and was a generous host. Family was everything to Charlie and he was everything to them. He will be sadly missed, especially by his grandchildren, to whom he was larger than life. Charlie is survived by his wife, Patricia, and their two sons, Frank and Charles Jr.; his two daughters-in-law, Tracey and Natalia; seven grandchildren, Hunter Louis, Bryant Charles, Chase Christian, Nathaniel Warner, Olivia Faith, Emma Taressa and Roman William; his sister, LuAnn Vasilou, and his brother-in-law, Tom Vasilou.
