Charles William Griffey

Born August 3, 1928 in Odessa, MO to Goldie and Louis M. Griffey. He served 4 years in the Navy. Was a dock foreman for over 25 years before getting into real estate. He retired to Florida in 2002, where he couldn’t sit still so he started a window washing business: Griff’s Window Cleaning where he enjoyed working till he couldn’t anymore.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Howard Griffey, his mother and father, sister Louise Ehlert, brother Lloyd Griffey, son Ron Griffey, son Don Griffey, son Charles Griffey and daughter Connie Griffey.

He is survived by his son Terry Griffey of San Diego, CA; daughter Kim Lewis of Kansas City, MO, several grandkids Christopher Sanders, Cody Griffey, Aaron Lewis and Isaac Lewis all of Kansas City, MO along with 6 six great-grandchildren, and his sister, Betty Murray of Odessa, MO, and many friends and neighbors that he deeply adored from Pine Island.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 17th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery between the hours of 11 – 12pm with service and entombment to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Chuck’s name to Gulf Coast Humane Society in Ft Myers, FL.
