Cathy was born on August 26, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Edward Ross and Catherine Anne (Ballendorf) Campbell.
Cathy graduated from Little Flower High School in 1954 and attended comptometer school. She worked in the Accounts Payable Department at Sears, Roebuck and Company, Philadelphia, PA for 17 years. She was also a proud employee of The Vanguard Group, Malvern, PA in their Institutional Division and it was from there that she retired in 1995.
Cathy met her husband Joe in the Pocono Mountains of PA through mutual friends and married there on October 12, 1968 at Christ the King Church in Blakeslee, PA. As a couple, they purchased and operated the Gilbert Hotel, in Gilbert, PA in the early 1970’s. Shortly after, they moved to Wayne, PA where they lived until their retirement to Cape Coral, FL. Cathy and Joe loved going to the Philadelphia Eagles’ games, the Pocono Mountains and hanging at the Cape Coral Elks Lodge (where she served as Chaplain for a number of years) with their friends.
In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death in 2006 by her husband of 38 years, Joseph J. Reilly; brothers-in-law/sisters-in-law, James Lotka, James (Irene) Reilly and Nancy Reilly. Surviving are her two sisters Edwina Lotka of West Chester, PA and Bonnie Kishpaugh (Gordon) of Murrells Inlet, SC; and her sister-in-law/brother-in-law Peggy (Neil) Curran of Glenolden, PA. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who have fond memories and will sadly miss her beautiful smile.
A memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date. Private cremation arrangements are being handled by Coral Ridge Funeral Home, Cape Coral, FL.
