During high school, Beverly and her sister, Rita, had a dance school teaching many styles of dance, tap dancing being her favorite. Graduating high school in 1964 she enrolled at Murray State University. At Murray she received a Bachelor of Science and met the love of her life, Larry Humphries Sr..
After graduating and getting married in 1968 she and Larry moved to St. Louis for the next chapter of their lives. Beverly took a job as a physical education teacher at Cross Keys Junior High School. She left that job to start a family having two boys, Shayne and Blake. When the time was right she returned to teaching, moving to Hazelwood School District where she was loved and respected by both students and faculty. She taught at Keevan, Townsend, Brown Elementary Schools and Hazelwood Middle School where she retired from after a 25 year career.
Beverly loved arts and crafts, traveling, 'cutting a rug' with her husband and most of all her family and friends. To know Beverly was to love and respect her. She lived and taught by example. Her honesty, love, work ethic and friendship were admired by all.
Beverly is preceded in death by her father, Walter; mother, Dorothea; husband of 54 years, Larry. She Is survived by sister, Rita and husband Frank; brother, Kenny and wife Brenda; son, Shayne and significant other Janet; son, Blake and wife Shannon; grandchildren, Tre, Lizzy, Jacey, Shane and Emily. She will be loved and missed and in our hearts forever.
