Beverly Joan Henderson

Beverly Joan Henderson, age 82, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 5, 2019. She was born on April 9, 1936 in Schenectady, New York. Bev was married to Donald Alexander Henderson of Chippewa Bay, New York for 41 years before his passing in July 1997. She had homes in both Morristown, New York on her beloved Saint Lawrence River and in Bokeelia, Florida where she enjoyed an active winter life.

Beverly loved to take care of her family and serve others. She was an active member of the Greater Pine Island Elks Lodge for more than 15 years where she was recognized for her devoted service. Recognitions included Officer of the Year 2011- 2012 and Elk of the Year 2013-2014. Her life was filled with kindness for her family, her friends, and her community. Nothing made her happier than filling her home with the laughter of her children and their families.

Beverly is predeceased by her husband Donald, her son Steven, and son-in-law Reggie. She will be remembered always by her surviving family- sister Lois, daughter Debi, daughter Pam and husband Bill, son Peter and wife Michelle, grandson Seth, granddaughters Geni, Jessica, and Ashley, and great granddaughter Shelby, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Pine Island at 11:00 am on Thursday March 14, 2019, followed by a reception at the Elks Lodge. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the Elk’s Scholarship Fund or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are provided by Coral Ridge Funeral Home.

Beverly’s final resting place will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammond, New York. Hers was a life well and greatly lived.
