Betty Newbould Andersen, 85, of Fort Myers, FL passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014. Originally from Chicago, she was married to Edwin Newbould for 55 years. They raised 4 children and retired to Cape Coral in 1982. After Edwin’s death, she moved to Barkley Place in 2007 where she met Wesley Andersen. They were married in 2008. Betty was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards with friends. She shared Ed’s passion for the 79th Fighter Group reunions they planned and hosted for 30 years. She was active in the Barkley Residents’ Association having served as an officer for a number of years. Betty had many dogs during her lifetime, as well as an African Grey parrot. She loved caring for the Barkley Place bird, Daisy. Betty is survived by her devoted husband Wes; son Richard (Mary); daughter Susan (Dan) Andrews; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 stepchildren and her cherished chihuahua Zach (Mr. Wonderful). She was preceded in death by her sons William and Patrick. A memorial service is planned for January 22nd at 2pm at Barkley Place. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, P.O.
