A visitation for William Byron Buchanan, 70, of Royse City, Texas will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 4, 2021 followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm. at Eubank Funeral Home, Father Ron Studenny officiating
Byron (or Buck as he was known by his friends) passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021 in Greenville, Texas. He was born on November 16, 1951 in Ft. Worth, Texas to D. H. Buchanan and Marcia Janette Vetters Buchanan.
Byron grew up in Longview, Texas. After he earned his bachelors degree at Abilene Christian University, Byron joined the Dallas Police Department in 1973. He retired from DPD as a sergeant after 35 years in 2009. Byron was proud to serve the city and citizens of Dallas, Texas. Byron enjoyed playing drums in a band, music and baseball. He coached baseball for several years. In his free time, Byron enjoyed watching the Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He loved going to the beach but spending time with family meant the most to him.

Byron is survived by his children, Adam Buchanan, Robert Buchanan, Clay and Angelina Buchanan and Alison and Jimmy Guardiola; four grandsons; brother, James and Suzanne Buchanan; three nieces.
He is preceded in death by parents, D. H. and Janette Buchanan; brother, Jeb Buchanan.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
