Virginia Ann Archer, 84, of Fate, Texas, went to her heavenly home on April 8, 2025, in Rockwall, Texas. She was born in Edgewood, Texas, on December 7, 1940, to Leaborn Vitchell Jones and Lois Audrey Lay Jones.
Services for Virginia will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. at Eubank Funeral Home, Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.
Virginia grew up in Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1959. On April 15, 1960, she married her one true love, Billy Archer. The couple had 40 wonderful years and a blessed marriage. Virginia was Baptist by faith and loved the Lord.
Virginia loved animals. She could sit on the porch enjoying her coffee and watching the neighbor’s cattle for hours. She enjoyed the outdoors, the peaceful tranquility and the beauty of nature. Virginia was a people person. She relished a good conversation and never met a stranger. Virginia was in insurance claims until she retired. The best days were spent watching basketball and football with her son. Virginia rests in the arms of Jesus now but will be remembered in the hearts and memories of her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leaborn and Lois Jones; beloved husband, Billy Archer; sister, Betty Sims; and brother, Bob Jones.
Virginia is survived by her son, Darrell Archer; sister, Margaret Rush; brother, Gary Jones; several nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
Virginia will be laid to rest next to her husband, Billy, at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
