Tina Loretta Parker, founder of Tina's Hair Affaire and co-founder of Suzzette's Cabin Candles died on December 17, 2021 in Athens, Texas. Tina was a resident of Canton, Texas. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 22, at 10am at Eubank Funeral Home with visitation Tuesday from 5-7pm.
Tina is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzzette and Keith Stringer, two grandsons - Parker Stringer and his wife Nikki, Dalton Stringer and great-granddaughters, Eralyn and Ilyana.
In the mid 80's, Tina opened Tina's Hair Affair in Irving, Texas. She soon branched out to 15 hair salons in East Texas including Canton, Athens and Tyler. In 1998, along with her husband, James and son-in-law Keith Stringer, Suzzette's Cabin Candles was established. After the passing of the love of her life, James, she continued her entrepreneurial spirit and began Parker Farm Inc. where she produced Goat milk soap and lotions.
Tina had a giant personality and never met a stranger; whether she was at a candle show in Las Vegas, First Monday, or the perfect fishing hole on the Neches river in Frankson. Tina loved fishing day and night, gardening, growing flowers, spending time with her family and always looking for the next business adventure. After the birth of Eralyn and Ilyana, her time was spent playing and entertaining her great granddaughters.
She was a devoted wife, a sister, an amazing mother, a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. Tina was very active in both her church, First Baptist Church in Canton and at Martin's Mill Elementary. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Other loving survivors: Bonnie and Rick Joyner, Wesley and Beryl Climer, Diane and Oren O'dell, Hershal and Pat Climer, Brenda and Scott Hutton, Ricky and Vanessa Climer and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband James Parker, parents Rufus and Ruby Climer, and two brothers, Jerry Climer and Bobby Climer.
Interment will be at Holly Springs Cemetery, Martins Mill.
