In loving memory of Carroll Stanley Dupree who passed away on May 5, 2022 at the age of 84, naturally and peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. He was a fighter and always upbeat, no matter what he was going through.
Stanley lived in Yantis, TX but was born and raised in Tool, TX to Charles Henry and Edna Ethel Dupree. He had nine brothers and sisters. We loved hearing his stories of growing up with his family in the country.
He loved more than anything spending time with his son, Danny Dupree, daughter, Carol Ann Jumper, grandson, Chad Jumper, and great-grandson, Cayden Brown. He taught us many things about the country and lake life at Cedar Creek and Lake Fork, and life itself. So many wonderful experiences and memories to cherish.
Stanley lived at Lake Fork in different locations for over 38 years. Lake life was in his blood and he was so very happy to have that big beautiful lakeview to look at every day.
Stanley was a truck driver for various trucking companies and with Roadway Express for 30 years and retired at age 53 with many milestone awards. He was a truck driver at heart and proud to be one. Oh my, can you imagine all of the truck driving stories he had?
He loved being with his family, fishing, hunting and just being on the lake in his boat. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, NASCAR, horse races and much more. He loved life itself.
Stanley was kind and would go out of his way to help anyone. He was humorous, hard working, and loved his family. He was a faithful Christian that held God in his heart. What a blessing he was for us all and will continue to be. You will be so missed. You will be with us always. Rest in Peace in your Heavenly home and we love you.
Stanley is survived by his son, Danny Dupree; daughter, Carol Ann Jumper; grandson, Chad Jumper; great-grandson, Cayden Brown; and his brother, C.H. Dupree.
Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Charles Henry Dupree; mother, Edna Ethel Dupree; brothers: Richard, Troy, Chester and Dennis Dupree; and sisters: Ruby Jedlicka, Avis Lemmon, Josephine Thompson and Lois Summerall.
The funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Ricky Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
