Sharon passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love ones after a long illness, in Martins Mill on August 9, 2020. She was born on December 15, 1944 in McAllen, Texas to Burton Thomas Duncan and Helen Louise Brown Duncan.
Sharon grew up in Napa CA. She married John Wray on October 22, 1968 where they lived in Napa, CA until 1982, and then moved to Texas. She has lived in Martins Mill since 1982. Sharon enjoyed making ceramics, country/western and Christian music, watching “Wheel Of Fortune” and old western movies. Her compassion for others led her to do the hair and makeup of friends when they were prepared for viewing, wanting them to look their very best. Sharon’s greatest joy was her family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Sharon is survived by daughters: Katherine Wray Shellenberger and husband Michael, and Ginger Wray-Zydel and husband Daniel; sister, Susan Duncan-Gonzalez; brother, Mike Duncan; grandchildren: Brandi Peterson-Passons, Brittany Stigall-Dilmore, Dustin Stigall, Joseph Kitchens, Daniel Zydel, Rusty Shellenberger, Rodney Shellenberger, Robert Shellenberger and Alex Shellenberger; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her loving longtime companion, Salena the Chihuahua.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Burton and Helen Duncan; by her loving husband, John Wray; daughter, Cosette Peterson; son-in-law, Kim Peterson.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Holly Springs Cemetery.
