Samuel Franklin Sanders

Sam went home to the Lord on August 22, 2022 in Plano, Texas. He was born on May 9, 1962 in Tallahassee, Florida to Bobby and Jean Sanders.

Sam was one of God's special People. In spite of his limitations, he was a source of happiness and laughter for his family and others who knew him. Sam was a fan of all things Super Hero. He loved Batman, Robin and Gotham City, he cheered on the caped- crusaders from the time he was a little boy until just a few days before he left the earth. He liked cartoons, Some of his favorites were Speed Racer and Scooby-Doo. Sam loved to eat, and always wanted to be the one to get the last helping! His favorite food was probably ketchup. He would put it on just about anything. Sam loved to talk. This was both a blessing and a curse, but his voice will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: L. F. and Veta Sanders, Hubert and Elsie Beard.

Sam is survived by his parents, Bobby and Jean Sanders; sister, Cynthia Sanders; aunt, Frances Beard; cousins, Susan Holmes, Laura Hutchings, Kenneth Satterwhite, Debbie Carfiled, Karen Goode, Neil Beard and Barbara Beard.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
