Lee was born and raised in Texas where he lived until he pledged to enlist in the US Army, to proudly serve his country. Lee had various duty stations during his service, which took him near and far. He served during Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Even though these deployments took him away from home, he was always a proud soldier who loved his country. Lee had a 14-year break in service but reenlisted when the country went to war after 9/11. Lee proudly served until his retirement in 2015.
Lee grew up riding motorcycles and loved riding his Harley through the mountains. He loved woodworking and learned many new things from his dear friend Dan. He always wanted to help and hated when his body got sore because he thought he could keep up with anyone, young or old.
Lee enjoyed participating in pig roasts with his mentor, Mick, and wanted to learn how to smoke all kinds of meats. During a pig roast, there was lots of eating and telling stories while listening to live music played by friends. Lee would travel to any location just to be a part of the festivities and loved any detail he was given.
Lee could tell you any piece of history in detail and had a passionate way of expressing his views on facts he learned and believed in. He would research and debate any subject he was interested in.
On July 15, 1995, he married his one true love, Eden Yost. Lee was a father to three daughters and a husband of almost 30 years. He had such a unique sense of humor and was loving, generous and kind. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Eden Daly; daughters, Shelby R. Daly, Brittany N. Daly and Mandy L. Daly; father, Paul Daly; siblings, Robert Daly (Hope) and Susan Daly Newland; a host of other family and dear friends.
