Bobby was a son, brother, husband and Daddy who will be missed greatly. He was born November 26, 1979, at Clark Air Force Base, Angeles City, Philippines to Bill and Aida Boone.
Bobby was larger than life! He loved his family, football and baseball. He had a passion for helping kids of all ages learn to play baseball, softball and football, well, just about any sport! He and Amanda traveled many miles over the last 20 years taking their kids to various games in several states.
He was an avid fisherman. Give Bobby a pole, line and hook and he was set for the day – and if the fish were biting that day – he usually landed at least one whopper! His favorite fishing buddies were his boys Hunter and Noah. He began teaching them the ins and outs of fishing when they were just toddlers. He taught them well because they are as good as their Dad was! Last year they had taken up the sport of duck hunting. Even though Bobby had a port on his right shoulder he was determined to go with them hunting….so he shot left handed!
Bobby wasn’t a big fan of cheer, basketball or volleyball, but when his little girl, Chaney, began those, he was there front and center cheering and coaching her from the stands! She was his little princess.
Bobby probably seemed a little “rough” around the edges at times to others, but to his kids and the kids he coached knew he was trying to help them correct errors. He could be the wittiest person in the room, his laugh and smile were contagious.
His booming voice and coaching from the sidelines will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bobby is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Minnie Lee Byrd Boone, his Grandfather Robert Lee Boone, Grandmother Susema Flores, Grandfather Fedel Cueva and his aunt Sheryl Boone Greenburg.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 22 years, Amanda, his two sons Hunter and Noah, and his daughter Chaney; his parents, Bill and Aida Boone of China Springs, Texas; sister, Melissa, husband Cody and son Braxton Tollett of Jerrell, Texas; aunt, Debbie Boone of Clarksville, Tennessee;
his Poppa and Mimi Goodson of Edgewood, Texas; mother-in-law, Sandy and husband Paul Harkins, of Canton, Texas; father-in-law Dale and wife Connie Ingersoll, of Forney, Texas; sister-in-law, Christine and husband Chris Martinelli of Michigan; brother-in-Law, Garry and wife Jere Ingersoll of Henderson, Texas; brother-in-law, Jeremy and wife Brooke Ingersoll of Josephine, Texas; uncle, Allen and wife Michelle Goodson of Mesquite, Texas; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many friends and co-workers.
At the funeral, the family would love for everyone to wear their favorite sports team jersey, hunting/fishing shirt, or the color purple for esophageal cancer awareness.
