

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home followed by a graveside at 2:30 p.m. at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas. Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.
Raymond was born in Britton, South Dakota on March 31, 1952, to Otto B. Bauer and Violet Irene Himmerich Bauer. He was raised in Aberdeen, South Dakota and graduated from Aberdeen High School. He had five sisters: Helen, Karen, Betty, Gail and Phyllis (PJ) and one brother, Larry.
Raymond married his true love, Leah Rae Shaver, on June 9, 1989. The couple had a wonderful life. Together they took to the roads as Long-Haul drivers for Fortune Transportation and saw many wonders of America. Raymond had the prestigious accomplishment of logging 4.5 million miles with Fortune Transportation before having to retire due to health issues. An accomplishment that came with special recognition and awards.
Raymond was larger than life and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed working in the yard, tinkering with motors, and watching football. Raymond’s best days were days spent with grandchildren and a good meal. He is now reunited with his best friend and love, Leah.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Violet Bauer; beloved wife, Leah Bauer, who went home to heaven in June of 2014; granddaughter, Mindy Lee Rampino, who went home in 2014, as well.
He is survived by four daughters, Maria Rampino, Angelia Guerrero, Rebecca and Valerie; grandchildren, Anthony Mitchell Rampino and Chancey Rae Sharp; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
