Rachel Marie Byron

Interment will be at Zion Hill in Athens, TX.

She passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, in Tyler, TX.

Rachel was born September 27, 1925, in Wayne County, TN to Benjamin Harrison Brewer and Mary Esterlee Whitehead.

She grew up in Tennessee where she attended school. Rachel was Baptist by faith and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Athens. Her hobbies included painting, gardening, ceramics, and sewing. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her Daughter, Lorrylei & Tommy Todd, Son, James & Kate Houston, Son, Paul Eugene Houston, Son, Larry Lee & Shirley Houston, Son, Gary Ray & Sandie Houston, 16 Grandchildren, Multiple, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren, 3 Brothers, Grayford, Johnny, and Howard Brewer, and Sister, Alma Lee Bromley.

Rachel is preceded in death by her Parents, Benjamin & Mary Brewer, Husband, Learoy Houston, Husband, Lou T Byron, 3 Sisters, and 5 Brothers.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 29, 2015, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
