Nell grew up in Grand Saline, Texas. She married Linus Hardin in 1936 and they moved to Houston in 1939. Nell lived a long and wonderful life. She did all the “mom things” raising her sons. She enjoyed traveling and seeing the ever-changing world around her. Nell moved to Ft. Worth in 1964 to be near her sister, Mildred Hanks and brother-in-law, Ralph, staying active and enjoying life till the end. When others were slowing down and retiring, in her 60’s Nell took to the workforce as a nursery school worker. She enjoyed giving grandma hugs and love to a new generation of children. Nell loved her work and continued until she was 78 years old. Nell saw many things in this world, but what she is seeing now and who she is with is beyond anything we can imagine. Nell loved the Lord, her family and friends, many who were there to greet her at heaven’s door.
Nell is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Medie Morris; son, Michael Hardin; sister, Mildred Hanks; brothers, Bill Morris and Gene Morris.
Those here to cherish her memory: son, Kenny Hardin and significant other, Jari Watkins; grandchildren, Casey Hardin, Julie Oliver and husband, Craig; great-grandchildren, Luke Oliver and Caroline Oliver.
