Mary went home to the Lord on December 30, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ada, Oklahoma, on December 3, 1930, to Ernest Roy and Bessie Elizabeth (Wheeler) Roberts. Mary and Delbert Watson were married February 6, 1953, after being introduced by a best friend and enjoyed 34 wonderful years together. Mary and Delbert insured their family knew they were loved, from the way they were cared for and nurtured, to the custom of saying “I Love You” every time they saw each other. Mary also had many activities she enjoyed. Throughout her life, Mary loved to watch football and cheer for her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Mary also loved to go to casinos, play bingo and have birthday parties. Every year the family would gather on Mary’s birthday to celebrate with her favorite things: her grandson Ronnie’s BBQ, Dr. Pepper and football!
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Delbert Watson; son-in-law, Mike Kitchens; granddaughter, Tisha Vance and husband, Kevin; grandson-in-law, D.J. Ingram; her dear parents, Ernest and Bessie Roberts; and brothers: Reece Roberts and Doug Roberts.
