Lois Marie Bishop

She passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 in Canton, TX.

Lois was born April 3, 1935 in Canton to Robert Henry Carpenter and Lois Louise Dearing.

She was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church of Waco, TX, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for most of her adult life among other things such as singing in the choir, church secretary, and treasurer. She enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel Music. Her life revolved around family and church. Lois was a wonderful cook; she enjoyed sewing and watching soap operas. She was married to Austin Bishop for over 60 years and loved her children.

She is survived by Daughter, Theresa & Frank Corry, Daughter, Phyllis & Ronnie McWilliams, Son, Cleve & Clarisa Bishop, 7 Grandchildren, and & 12 Great-Grandchildren.

Lois is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Austin Bishop, Daughter, Deborah Adkins, and Granddaughter, Stephanie Coots.

Family will receive friends May 11, 2015 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the funeral home .
