Linda passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022 in Princeton, Texas. She was born on December 7, 1961 in Dallas to Wilton “Jack” Ballinger and Dorsey Fox Ballinger.
Linda was a sweet and sassy woman. She never sugar coated things but would be your rock during times of struggle. She loved to travel, so it was no surprise that her and her beloved husband of 25 years, Terry were a truck driving team, who traveled all over. Linda enjoyed going to the casino, flea markets and garage sales. She enjoyed going to the lake or to the beach and deep-sea fishing. Linda was at home no matter where she was, but time spent with family was her happy place. Linda always adopted an angel from the angel tree at Christmas; she never wanted anyone to experience nothing under his or her tree. She donated carloads to Toys for Tots for the same reason. If she saw you struggling, she would give you all she had regardless if you met 2 decades ago or 2 minutes ago. The world was a better place because of this beautiful woman.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dorsey Ballinger.
Linda is survived by her husband, Terry McKinney; son, Steven Vasquez; step-son, Jeremy McKinney and Holly Kissinger; step-daughter, Jennifer and Chris Holt; grandchildren, Laniey, Jaxon and Kason; niece, Christina Ballinger; great niece and nephew, who called her Mimi, Mia and Cory; sisters, Jackie and Bill Willoughby, Lynne and Bob Griffin, Marie Ballinger; brothers, Troy Ballinger, David and Claudia Ballinger, John and Elizabeth Ballinger; a host of other family and friends.
