Leanard Arther Minyard

Mr. Minyard passed away April 10, 2025 at his home. He was born September 30, 1948 in Torrance, California to Hursley Wardeen and Lillie Opal Stamper Minyard.

Leanard loved sports. As a young man, he was instrumental in helping start the Canton Youth Recreation Association (CYRA). Leanard enjoyed playing golf, pool and gardening. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. One of his greatest pleasures was watching his grandchildren play in the yard and spending time with his family.

Mr. Minyard is preceded in death by his parents, Hursley and Lillie Minyard; two brothers: Wayne and Loyd Minyard; and a sister, Billie Sherwood.

Leanard is survived by his two daughters: DeAnne and Jeff Callan, and JJ Minyard; five grandchildren: Brett and Marisa Callan, Lucas and Lindsey Minyard, Lexi and Calvin King, Colten and Peyton Stubblefield, and Emma and Nick Greco; ten great-grandchildren: Leila, Harper, Linden, Lavery, Callan, Miller, Sawyer, Ryder, Brewer and Finley; companion, Sherrill Robinson; sister, Patsy Bennett and brother, Nolan Minyard.
