Services for Larry Joe Perry, 74, of Athens, will be held 10 am Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Pastor Brad Perry and Jasie Perry officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.
Mr. Perry passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020, in Tyler. He was born March 14, 1946 in Waxahachie to Arthur Dee and Nobie Leta Mosely Perry.
Joe was a member of the Word of Victory Church in Canton. He was raised in Dallas, but after marrying Iris they moved to Canton to raise their family. Joe worked for Dallas ISD for almost 30 years. He loved to fish, paint, draw and play golf.
Mr. Perry is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Nobie Leta Perry; nine brothers and sisters: Lee Perry, Emmett Perry, Faye Beck, Louise Stinson, Edward Perry, Catherine Neely, Margaret Van Syckle, Patsy Kerns and Linda Sanders.
Joe is survived by his wife of 42 years, Iris; sons and their wives: Michael and Dulce Hall of Ennis, Brad and Shelby Perry of Palestine and Matt and Jasie Perry of Canton; five grandchildren: Andrew Hall, Ryan Hall, Caroline Perry, Cooper Perry and Maddox Perry; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Edward Morales, Cooper Perry, Albert Perry, Jeff Perry, Zane Box and David Kerns.
Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
