Larry Don Newhouse

A funeral mass will be held for Larry Don Newhouse, 72, of Canton, Texas on December 6, 2023 at 12:00 noon, with rosary starting at 11:30am at St. Therese Catholic Church in Canton, Texas; Father Jesudoss Thomas officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.

Larry passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 20,2023 in Canton, Texas. He was born on May 3, 1951 in Honey Grove, Texas to James Walter Newhouse and Frances Daphne Jones Newhouse; Larry love to boast about being born over the post office in the little apartment over it.

Larry was blessed to meet his one true love, Teresa Carol Whalin, earlier in life. The couple married on July 17, 1976 and have had 47 beautiful years together. Larry spent a career as an Asst. Engineer. He working many places; from Western Electric to GE. Larry was a country boy at heart. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but mostly he just loved being outdoors spending time in his garden. Larry was big on sports. He enjoyed snow skiing and played softball on the senior league for the love of the game. Larry biggest joy was his family. He dearly loved the Lord, his wife and his children. Larry will always be remembered in the hearts and memories of his family and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his; mother, Frances Strickland; father, James Walter Newhouse; sister, Brenda Gail Ross; brothers, James Michael Newhouse and Robert G. Newhouse.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Newhouse; sons, Ryan Newhouse, Marc Newhouse and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Natalie, Jackson and Dylan; a host of other family and dear friends.

Inurnment will be at St. Matthews Church and Cemetery in Longview, Texas.
