Larry went home to the Lord on February 11, 2023 in Richardson, Texas. He was born on August 13, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Lawrence E. Baker and Mary Dallas Baker.
Larry grew up in North College Hill, Ohio and graduated from North College Hill High School. He later attended Abilene Christian University and studied police science. Larry was an officer for the City of North College, Ohio for ten years and he spent the next 11 years at the police department of Richardson, Texas where he was involved in many programs for the community and schools. It was during this time he had a wonderful lady working with him and love blossomed. Larry married his true love, Carolyn “Lyn” Dale, on August 15, 1992. The couple made a beautiful life over the next 30 years. Larry later owned and operated a handyman service. He could fix anything. Larry enjoyed woodworking and working around the yard. Mowing was his hobby, but cooking for family and planning family get-togethers was his passion. Larry loved family time and grilling by the pool. Larry and Lyn were long time members of both Tundra Baptist and Richardson Baptist Church. Larry loved the Lord, his family and his friends. He was a true friend to have. Larry will be missed but lives on in the memories of all that knew and loved him.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mary Baker.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lyn Baker; children, Paul Baker, Dale Stockton and Trey Bagwell; grandchildren, Amanda Stockton, Alley Beddingfield, Trevor Stockton, Ainsley Stockton and McKaila “Mackie” Bagwell; great-grandchildren, Arabella, Millie, Briar and Oliver; sister, Pat Brown.
Interment will be at Haven Of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
