Ken passed away March 26, 2022 in Tyler. He was born December 7, 1952 in Edgewood to Willard Edgar and Virginia Louise Trussell.
Ken grew up in Garland and graduated from Garland High School. He married Sharon Ray and began his landscape and irrigation business. Ken and Sharon later made the move to Canton where they successfully started another business venture, "Continuing Education for Licensing Inc. (C.E.L.I.)". His daughter was fortunate to get to work by his side and learn the family business.
One of Ken's biggest accomplishments was his family. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He was always there for his family and made it his mission to make sure that his family was taken care of and to know that they were loved. He was a hardworking, generous and selfless man. He taught his children many life lessons, especially the value of hard work and self independence. Kenneth enjoyed travelling with Sharon and her brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Monica Ray. He also loved participating in all motorized racing events, especially those that his son and granddaughter were involved with.
Ken loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and being involved in the various activities they had going on. Ken was also an excellent cook and at one point talked of being a chef. Holidays and family get togethers were always over the top and filled with new dishes he wanted to try out. Ken's hobby later became his hotrods. He enjoyed working on his cars, travelling and taking them to various car shows, where he made many friends. This hobby helped serve as a distraction to him once the love of his life, Sharon passed.

Ken is survived by his son, Chris Trussell and wife, Rebekah of Edgewood; daughter, Shelley Thomas of Forney; grandchildren: Preston Thomas, Tori Thomas, Kimber Trussell and Kenley Trussell; brother, Steve Trussell and wife, Jeanne; sister, Carol Poe and husband, Tommy; sister, Ranae Trussell and husband, Dale James; brother-in-law Steve Ray and wife, Monica; and brother-in-law Mike Ray.
