John Francis Hobbs, 86, of Canton, Texas passed away peacefully on March 10, 2024 in Wills Point, Texas. He was born on October 18, 1937, in Bogota, Texas to Homer Shi Hobbs and Gladys Aileen Crawford Hobbs.
John grew up and graduated from Deport High School in Deport, Texas. He was Baptist by faith and he proudly served in the Navy. John married his one true love, Jane Marie Clancy, on March 2, 1963. The couple had 61 wonderful years together. John enjoyed playing golf with his friends and watching sports, specifically the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. John was very proud of his children and grandchildren. Time spent with family was the best day; especially if it involved time with his grandchildren. John will be missed, but live on in the hearts and memories of his family and friends.
John is preceded in death by his mother, Gladys O’Daniel; father, Homer Hobbs; brothers, Charles Hobbs and Don Hobbs.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Hobbs; daughters: Leiann Hobbs Weston and husband, Steve, Vicki Hobbs Hudson; sons: Tim Hobbs; John Hobbs, Jr. and wife, Michelle; grandchildren: Nicholas Hobbs, Zachary Hobbs, Christopher Hobbs, Haley Saffell and Ryleigh Hudson.
