Services for Joel Ethan Dockery, 43, of Wills Point are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton, TX with Bro. Mark Moore and Bro. David Christine officiating.
Joel passed away February 6, 2017 in Tyler, TX.
He was born August 13, 1973 in Freeport, TX to Thomas Gene Dockery and Wanda Marie Barnes.
Joel graduated from North Side High School in Vernon, TX. He was a strong Christian man who lived his life serving others. Joel had a great love for God and his family. He enjoyed traveling across the country in his truck, fishing, and helping people in need.
He is survived by his Parents, Thomas & Wanda Dockery; Brother, Eric & Ginger Dockery; Twin Sister, Kara & David Christine; Nephew, J.D. Christine; Niece, Allyson Dockery; Nephew, Ryan Christine; and Nephew, Murray Leith.
Joel is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Hubert & Alene Barnes; and Grandparents, Orville & Marie Dockery.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Eastview Memorial Cemetery in Vernon, TX.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
