Jerry Dale Sullivan

Services for Jerry Dale Sullivan, 83, of Canton, will be held 2 pm Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Mickey Matlock officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.

Mr. Sullivan passed away at his home on November 8, 2023. He was born August 10, 1940 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Giles and Ruby Crabtree Sullivan.

Jerry was a Baptist by faith. At the age of 12, his grandfather, a Baptist preacher, baptized him in a creek. Jerry grew up and attended school in Van Buren. He served in the Army National Guard during the Korean War. Jerry moved to Dallas, Texas where he met and married Jeri Wilhite on February 1, 1970. He owned Sullivan Painting Contractors Inc. for 22 years. After selling the business Jerry decided to get a temporary job at Walmart and 18 years later, he retired a second time. They moved to Canton in 1997. He enjoyed sitting in the shop and visiting with neighbors and friends. He was a member of the Wills Point Masonic Lodge #422.

Mr. Sullivan is preceded in death by his parents, Giles and Ruby Sullivan; sister, Gloria Sivils; son, Gary Sullivan; and grandson, Jerrett Sullivan.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeri Sullivan; two sons: Larry Sullivan and Mark Womack and his wife, Sherry; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; and his best girl, Missy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Davis, Les Whitaker, Winston Douthit, Jerry Norman, Josh McKensie and Jim Fuller.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
