James Emmit Morrow

James passed away March 7, 2020 at his home in Canton.

He was born January 12, 1936 in West Point, AR to Henry G. Morrow and Gladys Talbert.

James grew up in Wink, TX and graduated from Wink High School I 1955. He started playing music in 4th grade. James and Roy Orbison started a band known as the Wink Westerners before changing to Roy Orbison and the Teen Kings. James was drafted to the U.S. Army in 1958. He married Wanda Ruth Carr June 6, 1958 and they spent the next 55 years together until her death in 2013. James retired from AMOCO after 28 years of service and pioneered several churches in East Teas. He married Wanda Ruth Ellison April 6, 2014 and was a member of Crossroads Church in Canton.

James is survived by his Wife, Wanda Ellison Morrow; Daughter, Lisa & David Baird; Son, Glenn & Phyllis Morrow; Grandchildren: Daniel Morrow, Kristi McLemore, Jared Weakley, Jonathan Weakley and Jeremy Weakley; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Buddy Morrow; and "Bonus" Children & Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Henry G. Morrow; Mother, Gladys Wilcox; Wife, Wanda Carr Morrow; Son, John Mark Morrow; and Sister, Maxine Hunter.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton.
