James "Matthew" Branton

Matthew passed away on December 7, 2022 in Canton, Texas. He was born on November 30, 1978 in Dallas, Texas to David Alan Branton and Margaret Elizabeth Praytor Branton.

Matthew grew up in Kaufman, Texas and graduated from Kaufman High School. He was a member of Lost and Found Ministries in Mabank as a youth pastor and associate pastor. Matthew was proud of the service he gave to his country in the Navy and Army. Matthew was a friend to everyone he met. He was a giving man; sharing God’s word, his time and his help to those in need. Matthew adored his wife and family. His biggest joy was entertaining friends and family at BBQs and get-togethers.This bigger than life man will be missed but live on the memories of all that knew and loved him.

Matthew is survived by his beloved wife, Dana Branton; children, Lillianna Branton, Gabbriella Branton and Kylie Branton; parents, Margaret Branton; David and Carolyn Branton; siblings, David Jr. and Cori Branton, Shane and Julie Branton; a host of other family and friends.
