He was born August 20, 1923 in Dallas, TX to Earl “Jack” Hunter and Josephine Blackmon Hunter.
Jack grew up in Dallas where he attended school. He joined the Air Force and served as a waist gunner in a B-17 during WWII. After returning home from the war, Jack went to work for South Western Bell and retired after 30 years. He attended First United Methodist Church in Canton where he was very active. Jack was very family oriented, he enjoyed working on his farm and playing dominoes.
He is survived by his Daughter, Tina & Ken Schofield; Daughter, DeDe & Milton Clark; Grandchildren: Grant Green, Josh East, Samantha Villegas, Jennifer Bird, William Gilmore, & Dylan Schofield; Great Grandchildren: Haley Owens, Forrest Green, Hannah Green, Cammi Bird, Evelyn Gilmore, & Addie Gilmore, Great-Great Grandchild, Callie Owens; and Sister, Sandra Wood.
Jack is preceded in death by his Parents, Jack & Josephine Hunter; Wife, Julia Nell Hunter; and Son, Andy Hunter.
