A gathering before a graveside service for Dr. Glenda Haley Miller, 80, of Plano, Texas will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:30 to 11:30 followed by a graveside service at 12 noon. Bro. Dan Tarno officiating.
Glenda passed away peacefully on April 12, 2021. She was born on May 6, 1940 in Canton, Mississippi to John Henry Haley and William “Billie” Everett Tucker Haley.
Glenda or “Pud” as she was called by close friends and family lit up the room when she entered. She had a huge and caring heart. She adored her family and was always trying to find ways to bring everyone together with family gatherings and reunions. Glenda was proud of her Doctorate. She was passionate about helping people and found her joy in specializing in children’s therapy and mental health. Glenda was a “One of a Kind”. She was a funny and lighthearted woman, and known by her grandchildren as “Dolly”. Glenda was an avid reader, historical books and her Bible among her favorite reads. She could talk about any subject but science and history was where she shined. Glenda loved to shop and was always on the lookout for bargains. She loved elegant and beautiful things. Glenda took pride in her own mental and physical health, always looking her best. She loved the Lord, her family and friends. Glenda leaves an empty place in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Billie Haley.
Glenda is survived by her children, Shelley and Chris Goolsby, John Barton and Tyra Miller; grandchildren, Claire Miller, C. J. Goolsby, Victoria Goolsby, Landon Goolsby and Callin Goolsby; brother Charlie Haley and wife, Anne; nephews, Chris, Michael and Jason.
