Gavin Mack Tyndell went home to the Lord on December 12th, 2024 in the hospital in Quitman, Texas. He was born November 28th, 1934. Mack was born in Red River County where he lived with his parents, Myrtle and Carl Tyndell. He had five brothers and one sister: Joe, Bob, Harry, Mike, Ronnie, and Annette.
He grew up in a family of sharecroppers and harvested cotton. Mack married Barbara in July of 1956. Later, Mack moved to Dallas with Barbara, and they had Tanya and Craig. In 1971, they moved to Edgewood and had their third child, Jared, in 1977. Mack always enjoyed working outside, a good western, and some bluegrass. Anywhere you saw Mack, you saw his dog, Buddy, who was his best friend.
Mack is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Tyndell; daughter, Tanya Tyndell; parents; Carl and Myrtle Tyndell.
He is survived by his loving brother, Harry Tyndell, sons; Craig and Jared Tyndell, daughters-in-law; Tammy Tyndell, Maribel Tyndell, grandchildren: Blake Tyndell and wife, Nikki Tyndell, Taylor Tyndell, Eli Conaster; great-grandchildren: Madison Tyndell, Macie Tyndell, Nash Tyndell, Mack Tyndell,Tucker and Owen Conaster, and numerous other relatives.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, Texas. Bro. Steve Glosup officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
