Services for Elizabeth Melvina Dupuis, 91, of Wills Point, will be held 2 pm Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Mark Huston officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Dupuis passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, in Mineola. She was born March 9, 1932 in Groves, TX to Norman Ezell and Margaret Kathleen Goff Stokes. Her grandparents, Roy Delbert and Mayme Elizabeth Johnson Goff helped to rear her. She spent her young years in Groves and became a Christian at an early age. She graduated from Port-Neches-Groves High School in 1949. She married Robert L. Dickerson and they lived in Groves, Corpus Christi and Nederland, TX. They reared three children. In 1978, she married Weldon V. Dupuis. They made their home in Mesquite, TX until moving to Wills Point in 1993. She earned Bachelor and Master degrees from Texas A&M Commerce and taught school in Wills Point for twelve years, retiring in 2005. She maintained piano studios in Corpus Christi, Nederland, Mesquite and Wills Point, teaching many students through the years. She enjoyed homemaking, sewing, quilting, gardening and Bible Study.
Mrs. Dupuis is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Margaret Stokes; daughters: Cherilynn Dickerson-Dupuis and Kathleen Dickerson Smith; and a grandson, Andrew Smith.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Weldon V. Dupuis; sister-in-law, Earline Dupuis; son, Richard Dickerson, daughter-in-law Claudia Dickerson, step-son, David Dupuis; son-in-law, Robert Smith; nine grandchildren: Stephen Dickerson and wife Amanda, Stacey Dickerson Palacios, Krystopher Allen and wife Meagan, Shelley Allen, Corey Allen and partner Sky, Amy Hale and husband David, Lillian Elizabeth Jones and husband Eric, Daniel Smith, and Margaret Kathleen Smith; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Dickerson, Krystopher Allen, Corey Allen, Daniel Smith, Andrew Smith (deceased), David Hale and Eric Jones.
Visitation will be 4-6 pm Friday, December 1, 2023, at the funeral home.
