Edwin Harold Russell Jr., 78, went home to the Lord on August 17, 2021. He was born on October 20, 1942 in Tarrant County to Edwin Harold Russell Sr. and Marianne Russell.
Edwin, “Hal” as he was known to friends, was retired as a civilian radar engineer for the Navy. He was a graduate of Texas A & M in Kingsville, Texas. He was a devoted Christian and member of 1st Baptist Church of Canton, Texas. You could always find him at the Wednesday night bible study. He was a lifelong friend, more of a brother to his dear friend Bill. Friendship was important to him. Hal spent his free time on his ham radio, operator W6JFG. He has talk to and made friends with people all over the world. Hal was devoted to his beloved dog, Truffle.
Hal is survived by his dear friends, Bill and Glenda Oglesby and many other he has met along on his journey through life.
