Doris passed away May 16, 2017 in Athens, TX.
She was born July 4, 1938 in Dallas, TX to Richmond Ewing Smith and Altha Edna Stovall.
Doris grew up in Dallas and married Harold Ray Fain in 1954 at the age of 16. They raised their children in Dallas and moved to Henderson County during retirement. Doris enjoyed ceramics, reading, and working in her garden. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church.
Doris is survived by her Husband of 63 years, Harold Ray Fain; Daughter, Debra Fain of Athens, TX; Son, Carlton & Teresa Fain of Scurry, TX; Son, Kenneth & Carolyn Fain of Athens, TX; 7 Grandchildren; and multiple Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Richmond & Altha Smith; and Grandson, Jeremy Monie.
Family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Meredith Campground in Henderson County.
