David grew up in a military family and he also served his country in the US Navy after graduating from Irving High School in Irving, TX. He earned a Master of Arts degree and worked as a designer for the American Heart Association and the Tyler Morning Telegraph.
Upon retiring, he and his “Dear” life partner Elizabeth moved outside of Canton and fulfilled their dream of building a homestead together.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Charles Ray Neal and Robert Lee Neal.
He is survived by his life partner, Maris Elizabeth Rone of the home; brother Curtis Alan Neal and wife Rhidonah of Blue Ridge, TX; sister-in-laws Lou Neal of Irving, TX and Mary Neal of Tyler, TX; 4 nephews and 2 nieces; and 6 great nephews and 4 great nieces.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and last but not least, his precious cat Squeaky.
He will laid to rest in a private service at the Elm Grove Cemetery, Van Zandt County, TX.
