A memorial service will be held for David Hugh Hightower, 75, of Ben Wheeler, Texas at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Trail Cowboy Church on Sunday, September 10, 2023 under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, C. R. Chapman officiating.
David passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2023. He was born on August 16, 1948 in Wills Point, Texas to Ernest Hightower and Adeline Clara Verner Hightower.
David grew up in East Texas and enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing was his favorite past time. He called it his saltwater therapy. – Fishing off the coast waters in Texas was his favorite fishing places. David owned and operated the “Commercial Head and Block Mechanic Shop” in Dallas for over 50 years. David spent his time volunteering at the cowboy church rodeos and was a lay preacher. David was a funny man who always had a smile on his face. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
David is survived by his son and daughter in law, David Russell Hightower and Lisa Hightower; daughter, Desiree Hightower; granddaughter, Cheyenne; fishing partner and beloved caregiver, Regina Hightower.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Adeline Hightower; brother, Jerry Hightower.
