Services for Carolyn Albert Davis, 77, of Canton, are scheduled for 10:30 am Thursday, May 2, 2019 at St. Justin's Episcopal Church in Canton with Father Ron Studenny officiating. Interment will be in Four Mile Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis passed away April 24, 2019 in Dallas. She was born November 1, 1941 in Houston to Lee and Erin Cox Albert.
Carolyn graduated from Duncanville High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Texas Woman's University. She married Albert Davis on April 24, 1965 and raised her family in Duncanville. Carolyn taught kindergarten at DeSoto Private School for over 30 years. After moving to Canton, she became a member of St. Justin's Episcopal Church where she volunteered organizing activities for the children of the church. Carolyn also spent countless hours leading the Van Zandt County 4-H Club. She's mentored and supported these young adults in all of their projects with her passion for sewing and her kind and inspiring instruction.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Davis; and her parents, Lee and Erin Albert.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Lee Ann Young, and her husband, Wayne, of Garland, and their children, Noah and Erin Young; and her son, Monte Davis, and his wife, Rachel, and their daughter, Meridith Davis.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Carolyn Davis 4-H Scholarship Fund. Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 712 Canton, TX 75103.
