A visitation for Brenda Faye Adair, 82, of Athens, Texas will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Eubank Funeral Home. Bro. Perry Smith will officiate a short celebration of life service during this time.
Brenda passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, in Athens, Texas. She was born on July 18, 1942, in Kerens, Texas to G. W. Dodd and Dovie Elledge Dodd.
Brenda grew up in the Kerens and Athens area. Brenda married her one and only, James, at the family home. The couple built a beautiful life together and raised three children. After James retired the couple enjoy going on road trips, the destination was always to see the country. Brenda loved music; Country and Christian music her favorites. Brenda was the one to “keep the home fires burning”. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. The house filled with children and grandchildren were the best days.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, G. W. and Dovie Dodd; beloved husband, James Emory Adair; daughter, Delinda Adair Woods; siblings, Jerry Dodd, Gene Dodd and Ann Miller.
She is survived by son, Glenn Adair; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Randy Gandy; grandchildren: Hanna Adair, Crystal Tierce and husband, Brian, Brandy Gandy, Jamie Gandy and wife, Tiffany, Chad Crowell and wife, Megan, Stefanie Browne and husband, Josh; great grandchildren: Keiley Tierce, Karsen Tierce, Addisyn Gandy, Hunter Gandy, Remi Gandy, Lane Walker, Greenlee Crowell, Cutter Crowell; great grandchildren, Presley Crowell and Sawyer Browne; brother-in-law, Harlon Adair and wife, Janet; sister-in-law, Carolyn Conner and husband, Bobby; numerous nieces and nephews and other family; a host of friends.
Final resting place will be at Liberty Cemetery in Van Zandt County, Texas.
