Services for Billy Wayne Phillips, 88, of Quinlan, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Pastor Diana Rook officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.
Mr. Phillips passed away at his home April 17, 2019. He was born February 1, 1931, in Ivanhoe near Bonham, TX, to Cecil and Mabel Caulk Phillips.
Billy was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Quinlan. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Billy retired from Transcon Trucking in Dallas. He was a family man and loved spending time with his wife and children. He enjoyed mowing on his tractor, dancing and spending time on and near the water. Water skiing and traveling to areas with large bodies of water gave him great pleasure. Billy was the best husband, father and grandfather, an excellent friend who was always willing to help people in need. He loved the Lord.
Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Phillips and his parents, Cecil and Mabel Phillips. Billy is survived by his three daughters: Sheila Smith of Quinlan, Billie Kim Hudson of Quinlan, and Donnetta Markham and her husband, Bruce of Rockwall; five grandchildren: Justin Smith, Stormie Brown, Ashley Farmer, Trever Sanders and Connor Markham; four great-grandchildren: Hannah Brown, Rylan Cryer, Billy Jack Noah Brown IV, and Caroline Farmer; sister, Mary Alice Beeman of Mesquite and a brother-in-law, Darrell West of Ben Wheeler.
Pallbearers will be Justin Smith, Connor Markham, Kenneth Smith, Bruce Markham, Trever Sanders, Billy Brown and Jerry Sanders.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
