William and Joan Wearstler

Bill served in the Air Force and was stationed in England during the Korean War. It was then that he met and married Joan Quinnette, his beloved wife of 67 years. Bill is now reunited with Joan, who proceeded him in death just last week. Bill is survived by his daughters Vickie (Jack) Kellogg and Kay Ann Peters; grandchildren Nicole (Rodney) Hunt, Samuel (Simon) Hoelzle, Colleen (Andrew) Shawk; and great-grandchildren, Ava, Charlotte, Isaac, and Lenora.

Bill was employed by Diamond Portland Cement Company from the time of his youth until their closing in 1976, at which time he became employed by Conrail. In their retirement, Joan and Bill spent winters in Myrtle Beach, S.C. making memories with friends and family.

Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Working hard to provide for his loved ones was always a priority for him. He will be remembered for his stern, yet playful orneriness. He was wise, faithful and kind. He impressed upon his family the importance of honesty and integrity. He enjoyed reading, with a great knowledge of history. He loved a cold Pepsi and a challenging crossword.

Bill was a loyal member of Middlebranch Grace Brethren Church since infancy. A memorial service will be held there for both Bill and Joan at 11:00am on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Middlebranch Grace Brethren Church, 2911 William Street NE, Middlebranch, Ohio.
