Violet A. Grooms, age 88, passed away September 7, 2011 at her home. She was born in Canton, OH to Charles and Clara (Larsen) Karcher. Violet was a member of the Eastern Star Delta Chapter and the Sandyville Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Arthur Karcher, and infant brother. Violet is survived her husband, Louis E. Grooms, of 69 years; son, Louis C. Grooms; daughter, Linda L. (Bill) Lasure; four grandchildren, Danny (Michelle), Jason (Michelle), Jennifer (Clint) Lantz, Amber (Rob) Sloan; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Velma Hookway and Anna Portofe.
Friends may call Friday, September 9, 2011 from 5-8 pm at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home as well as an hour prior to the service. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the funeral home. Pastor Ruthann Bosley will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
